Risk Management - Due Diligence
Pharmaceutical Manufacturer
Dixon Environmental was contracted by a well-known pharmaceutical company to conduct an expanded scope Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) of a biotech company in the final stages of acquisition. The firm to be acquired had three (3) R&D Laboratories in two different states. Each site required an ESA to be conducted in accordance with ASTM Standard Practice E 1527-97 and allowed for some expanded scope items based on the April 2000 ASTM standards. Contractual agreements were completed in accordance with strict confidentiality due to on-going acquisition talks. Once negotiations were final, Dixon Environmental completed the site reconnaissance of all three (3) sites and had preliminary findings to the client within two (2) weeks allowing the acquisition to proceed ahead of schedule. As part of this assessment, Dixon Environmental conducted a regulatory compliance assessment of the facility and provided a state files review which identified missing state agency air approvals at one location and absent administrative notifications at another site.
The client continued to use Dixon Environmental to correct these findings Dixon Environmental’s clients benefit from:
- Knowing that their ESA firm has the experience with chemical industry practices and regulatory compliance requirements in order to conduct a thorough due diligence,
- Rapid response time for field assessments and reporting, and
- A long-term partner that can be trusted with confidential projects.
